We were honored to welcome Boston Mayor Marty Walsh to the Bates on November 30th, 2016. Mayor Walsh had the opportunity to visit our Excellence for All program in the 4th grade, learning about how we have redesigned our program so every child has access to rigorous coursework and enrichment. He also had the opportunity to visit our K2 classrooms, where he read The Very Hungry Caterpillar as our mystery reader for the week. Mayor Walsh was very impressed with our students and promised another visit soon!
