| We want to hear what you think about your child’s school! BPS offers parents the opportunity to fill out a survey every year. Students and teachers also fill out surveys at school. Please let us know what is good and what needs to be changed or worked on to make your school better. Your feedback is very important. If you would like to participate, please fill out a survey found below. This year we are encouraging parents to complete their surveys online. Please fill out one survey per child. Schools with high response rates will earn prizes. |
The Bates School Way:
At the Bates School, we do our very best to reinforce positive behaviors. We know that reinforcement of positive behaviors will increase the likelihood that those behaviors continue. One way we do this is by awarding bates bucks to students. Every teacher has access to $1 and $10 Bates Bucks. As students make positive decisions we award them with $1 or $10 Bates Bucks. These are used for both work, effort, and behavior. At the end of the week, many teachers allow their students to turn in their Bates Bucks for purchases in the “classroom store”. If you have any questions about how your child’s teacher uses Bates Bucks, do not hesitate to contact them!
Picture Day
Picture day has been rescheduled to Thursday 3/29 (fingers crossed, NO SNOW).
Operations Updates
We are excited to share that new doors have been installed for three of our entrance/exits. The main doors will be worked on tomorrow throughout the day. If you need access into the school building, please call 617-635-8064 and someone will meet you at the Beech Street or playground entrance to let you in.
