We have some very exciting events coming up! See information below:
8/28 5:30-6:30pm Popsicles with the Principal
Families are welcome to stop by the Bates Playground on Wednesday from 5:30-6:30 to meet Principal Morales and join in conversations with other families. This is a great opportunity for new and returning families to get to know one another.
9/5 First Day for 1st-5th
Staff are eager to meet students on the Bates Playground at 9:20. Mr. Morales will say a few words and teachers will bring students into their classrooms. We ask that families allow for this transition as research shows it is best for students as they start their first day of school.
9/5 10:00-11:00am Kindergarten Preview/ Meet and Greet
K0/K1-K2 Families and students are invited to stop by the Bates School to meet Teachers and see classrooms. This is a great way to introduce the school and classroom to our younger students as they transition into an exciting school environment.
9/9 First Day for K0-K2

9/12 Open House/ Back to School Potluck 5:00-7:00pm
This year we will have a hybrid between a “traditional” open house combined with our usual Back to School Potluck. This will give families a chance to meet teachers, see classrooms and build community with the Bates Community. The open house will include two sessions to accommodate parents who have siblings in multiple grades. Please note that the open house is not a parent teacher conference where individual student questions can be answered.
–Open House Session 1: 5:00-5:25
–Open House Session 2: 5:30-5:55
–Potluck and Celebration: 6:00-7:00
More information will be sent next week around potluck requests and open house structure.
9/18 Ice Cream Social 5:30-7:30
All families of all grades are invited our Bates Family Council to enjoy some ice cream and build community. This will surely be an event to remember!
