Did you know that many of our teachers published projects on donorschoose.org? See some of their projects here. We ask that you share these projects with friends and family that wish to donate and support our students and teachers.
Come Help Out at Bates’ Election Day Bake Sale
The Bates School Parent Council (SPC) will hold an Election Day Bake Sale on Tuesday, November 6th. Thanks to the generosity of Bates families, this annual event has become a great money maker for our school. We are looking for donations of time and/or baked goods to make this year’s sale a success! The money raised will go towards school activities for your child throughout the year. The clothing store is open and ready for orders. We will be accepting orders until October 15th.

School Parent Council and School Site Council:
Linked is a document sharing the roles of School Site Council and School Parent Council as well as a description of what representative member of SSC are responsible for. Our next meeting will be on 10/10 5:30-7:00. During this meeting families will vote on SSC representatives. As always, food and childcare are provided.
Roslindale Parade on Sunday 10/14
Based on feedback from exit tickets, The Bates School will not be walking the parade. Instead we will watch the parade from a location TBD.
Picture Day
Picture day is scheduled for October 16th. Fliers have been sent home.
Extra Security on Playground
Starting this week, our playground fence will be locked during the school day. We will do our best to unlock doors before dismissal so families can pick their children up in the playground if parked on Cedrus Street.
